I shed a tear as I read the article about Eli. He and my son Gian Hero (we call him Gboy) are of the same age. My son was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease when he was 5 years old. His heart valve leaflets are oddly shaped. While normal people have leaflets of the same length and size, Gboy has an extra long leaflet on one side and a short and thick one on the other. The other week, he had episodes of severe headaches that we had to consult a pediatric neurologist. Last Friday, after undergoing a CT Scan, he was diagnosed to have a cyst in his brain. His doctor however assured us that it was not life threatening, and that no operation would be required. Gboy would be able to function normally. Like Eli, he is also a smart, talented and loving son who brings joy to our family. The Force is strong in them!
Thanks for sharing that with us Jedi_Randy. The Force works in mysterious ways. Glad to hear Gboy is ok. I myself had some medical scares as a young child, thankfully everything was benign. Nothing scarier than the doctors' as a child. I know from seeing lots of your pictures that Gboy (and your daughter too) is a sweet little kid with a big smile. Just like Eli. I hope Gboy (and of course Eli too) keeps his good health. Gboy definitely gets his force powers from his dad ;) (well half of them anyway.)
Thank you for your kind words. My children are God's blessings and bring joy and laughter to our home. I believe my wife has the stronger force powers. She is the one who devotes most of her time taking care of the kids, helping them with their schoolwork, teaching them good values, how to become good Christians and citizens of the world. And if you read one of my previous posts, she is a pretty mean bounty hunter too... she captured my heart in than 12 parsecs!
Well you don't sound like Vader... he wasn't such a good father. Never called his kids. Cut off one of their hands. Captured and imprisoned and blew up his other kid's foster parents and their planet... lol

ReplyDeleteAnd struck down his teacher with a lightsaber, LOL. Nah, Vader was never my role model when it came to parenting.
ReplyDeleteWell that's good... probably gets hot under all that leather and in that helmet ;)
